Joryan Pernollet, originally from Belley (France), began his musical training at the Belley Conservatory. He obtained his Brevet d'Études Musicales (Musical Studies Certificate) in 2013 in piano in Catherine Poncy's class. He continued his music studies at the Chambéry Regional Conservatory in Nathalie Petit-Rivière's class. In 2017, he joined the Conservatory of Lyon under Hervé Billaut and obtained his Diploma in Musical Studies the following year.
In 2019, Joryan was admitted to the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU, Switzerland), where he studied with Christian Favre for three years and will obtain his Bachelor's degree in piano in 2022. That same year, he began a Master's degree in piano, specializing in pedagogy, in Igor Tchetuev's class, which he will complete in 2024.
In addition, still interested in the history of music, he also holds a Bachelor's degree in musicology, obtained in 2019 at the University of Lyon 2. He has been sharing his passion and teaching at the École de musique l'Arène in Virieu-le-Grand since 2017, as well as in Switzerland, where he prepares students for entry to the conservatory and accompanies much younger children.
Joryan now divides his time between teaching, accompanying choirs in Lausanne, and performing in occasional concerts. He is currently preparing to enroll in a second master's degree in musical accompaniment next season to complete his training. His background now allows him to apply to work at renowned Swiss conservatories.
