Loreto Gismondi graduated in Violin from the “L. Refice” Conservatory in Frosinone under the guidance of Maestro M. Cervera. He later pursued advanced studies at the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento in Portogruaro (Venice) with Maestro P. Vernikov, and at the Arts Academy in Rome with Maestros M. Fiorentini and K. Bogino. He subsequently earned a Degree in Chamber Music from the “L. Refice” Conservatory with highest honors and distinction.
He has won several competitions both in chamber music and for important opera and symphonic institutions. He collaborated with the “Orchestra da Camera di Santa Cecilia,” later with “I Filarmonici di Roma” conducted by Maestro Uto Ughi, and with the orchestra “Roma Sinfonietta” conducted by Maestro Ennio Morricone, performing in major Italian and international concert halls during tours in Israel, Turkey, Portugal, Germany, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Norway, Spain, France, Malta, and Ireland.
He has appeared as violin soloist in concert seasons organized by the “L. Refice” Conservatory in Frosinone, the Italian Ministry of Public Administration in Rome, the festival “Ascolta la Ciociaria,” Roma Tre University concert season, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Teatro Garibaldi in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the “Festival d’Estate” in Vietri sul Mare, the Auditorium of Isernia, the “Premio Benedetto Croce” in Pescasseroli, the Central Bank Concert Hall in Dublin, concert seasons organized by the Croatian Embassy in Šibenik, the concert season of Ptuj in Slovenia, the Museum of Music in Tehran (Iran), the Italian Embassy in Khartoum (Sudan), and the Italian Embassy in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).
He has recorded four CDs for the record label “SIFARE”: Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” with the string orchestra “I Solisti Liriensi”; Piazzolla’s “Four Seasons” with the “Artemisia Trio”; a violin and piano duo recording featuring works by Mozart, Brahms, Janáček, and Franck after winning the “Virtuosité” Chamber Music Prize awarded by the Arts Academy in Rome; and a CD with the “Trio Dedalus” featuring works by Giuliani, Paganini, and Pareira, after receiving the “Premio Vittoria” from the Accademia Angelica Costantiniana.
In 2016, together with guitarist A. Minci, he recorded the CD “I Papaveri Rossi di Montecassino,” featuring unpublished music dedicated to the historical commemoration of the tragic bombings of World War II at the Abbey of Montecassino. In 2017, the duo was invited to perform live on the Rai Radio Tre program “Piazza Verdi,” presenting music from the CD during a live broadcast. The recordings were also broadcast by Vatican Radio.
He has collaborated extensively with pop and rock artists including Bruce Springsteen, performing with him in two concerts in Rome during the artist’s 2013 and 2015 tours, as well as Anastacia, Pino Daniele, Max Gazzè, and Elisa.
He is concertmaster of the orchestra “Solisti Liriensi,” with which, under the direction of Maestro F. Scogna, he recorded a CD for the renowned label “Tactus” featuring music by G.B. Pergolesi. He is also concertmaster of the Orchestra da Camera di Frosinone, with which he carries out intense concert activity. He is Artistic Director of the “Festival d’Estate” in the historic village of San Donato Val di Comino (Frosinone).
In 2022, he was invited to Sierra University in Riverside, California (USA), where he performed a recital at Hole Memorial Auditorium on May 20, and was also guest soloist with the Boulder Chamber Orchestra in Colorado (USA), performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto K218 under the direction of Maestro G. De Lorenzo.
Also during 2022, he collaborated as soloist with the Orchestra of the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, performing at Teatro Savoia in Campobasso, the Municipal Theatre of San Donato Val di Comino, Teatro Garibaldi in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, and Teatro dell’Unità d’Italia in Isernia.
In March 2023, he returned to California as guest soloist with the Dana Point Symphony Orchestra, performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major, K216, under the direction of Maestro Dean Anderson.
Together with cellist G. De Angelis, he has embarked on a concert tour including performances for prestigious concert institutions such as the “Filarmonica Umbra,” the “Amici della Musica W. De Angelis” concert season in Campobasso, the concert season at the “Sferisterio” in Macerata, the Ascoli Piceno Festival, Teatro U. Giordano in Foggia, the Trani Classic Festival, the “I Suoni del Lago” concert season in Sabaudia, and the Orchestra da Camera B. Marcello concert season in Teramo.
In 2024, he was once again invited to California (USA) as violin soloist, performing Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” with the prestigious “Sea Coast Symphony Orchestra.”
In 2025, he qualified in the Italian national competition DM 180 for teaching positions in Higher Musical Education Conservatories in the field of Chamber Music.
From 2023 to 2025, he served as Professor of Violin at the “A. Corelli” Conservatory in Messina.
