Erin Patterson
Cello

Denver based cellist, Erin Patterson, enjoys a multi-faceted career teaching and performing across Colorado’s Front Range. She is a member of the Boulder Philharmonic, Central City Opera, the Boulder Chamber Orchestra, and the Denver-based Sphere Ensemble, and regularly performs with Opera Colorado, the Colorado Ballet, and the Colorado Bach Ensemble. Erin has appeared as a soloist with the Huntsville Symphony, the UBC Chamber Orchestra, and the CCM Conducting Orchestra, and most recently performed the Colorado premier of Anna Clyne's cello concerto, Dance, with the Boulder Symphony.

A dedicated teacher, Erin is trained in the world-renowned Suzuki method and maintains an active studio in Lafayette, CO. Previous summer teaching and performing engagements include the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, the Cincinnati Young Artists Chamber Music Festival, the Crested Butte Music Festival, the Lakes Area Music Festival, the National Academy Orchestra of Canada, and the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra's Chamber Music Festival.

Erin holds degrees in cello performance from the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music and McGill University. Her most influential teachers include Alan Rafferty, Matt Haimovitz and Avi Friedlander. When she's not working, Erin enjoys reading, baking, and spending time outside with her husband and son, Paul and Owen, and two rescue dogs, Lilo and Otis.
